Understanding their “WHY?” and the goals they are hoping to achieve during their time with us as well as long term goals for the sport they are training for.

REFLECTION

We teach our athletes how to learn from and overcome losses as well as how to rebuild their mindset after a win. Reflection and ownership on the outcome is very important as many of us look outwardly for excuses why we lost or reasons why we succeeded.

VISUALISE

Teaching them how to mentally prepare themselves before a game or trial. Helping them understand their role in the game so they are not leaving that court/field with the feeling that they haven’t given everything they had.

STRENGTH

Cultivating good mental strength is essential for any athlete, especially as they rise through the ranks of elite sport and the pressure gets greater and greater.

GOOD HABITS

Studies show that it takes 66 days for human beings to create a good habit. We encourage our Athletes to pick a good habit they can stick to in order to start building that discipline and structure which is a key cog in a successful athlete.

POSITIVES

What do we mean by positives? We mean having a positive mental attitude and having optimism when it comes to your sport; as well as utilizing positive motivation instead of negative motivation.

 

WHAT IS MINDSET?

Helping to develop and achieve a champion mentality among young and even Elite Athletes is the hardest part of our job. We believe that there are many Athletes that can rack up good stats but that doesn’t necessarily make them a Champion.

The key difference is their Mindset. 

 Mindset focuses on helping Athletes build and gain confidence in their training to push past their perceived limits and expectations. When comparing all of our top Transformational Athlete Centre (TAC) Athletes that have become champions or reach that elite level in their chosen sport, they all have similar traits that helped them reach the top. These are:

  • Persistence and Resilences

  • Appreciation for Competition

  • An understanding that winning and losing go hand in hand

  • Being able to learn from their mistakes and seeing mistakes and positives

Are you an athlete who has goals, dreams and talent but find you are struggling with motivation, converting your talent in competition or find you’re never achieving your goals? Or are you an everyday individual who has personal or professional goals but find you are struggling to achieve them, or are not sure HOW to achieve them?

We got you - our one on one sessions are a great way to bring some clarity to your life, create clear direction and plan how you are going to achieve your goals… and most of all not let your mind get in the way of your action.

HOW IT WORKS:

We now offer Mindset sessions via Zoom and our app. Depending on your needs we would catch up on Zoom once a week for 30-45mins to talk about your progress and then give you tools to use and work on via our app as well as daily reminders. These sessions run exactly the same way as 1:1 face to face session, just without the hassle of having to travel.

Meet Taela.

Our in house Mindset coach and guru. Taela or Tae is an ex-elite athlete who used to compete for Australia for Karate, Tae competed as an elite Karate athlete for over 13 years.

Tae knows what it takes mentally to make it to the top of your sporting field, as well as the mental resilience you need to overcome setbacks.
